Decide which tournament you wish to participate in.
Research
– Date(s) and time(s) of the actual tournament
– Location of the tournament (will you need lodging and transportation?)
– What bow divisions are available
– What age categories are available
– type of tournament (charity, local, state, national, international, etc.)
– Cost to register
– Registration Form

Fill out the Registration Form, either online or on paper (this varies by tournament)
– Full Legal Name or name you will be entered as
– Select correct Age Category (ie. Yeoman, Bowman, Cub, Cadet, Junior, Senior, Master, etc)
– Select Bow Division you intend to shoot as(ie. Barebow Recurve, Olympic Recurve, Compound, Traditional, etc)
– Club Affiliated with will always be California Indoor Archers

Pay registration fee however advised.
– If registration is online this will be in at time of completing the registration form
– If registration is by paper ahead of time, this will usually be by check payment sent in the mail with the form
– If registration is done onsite, usually cash, check or credit/debit card options will be available depending on the tournament and host location

Plan your lodging and transportation as needed. Allow for an extra day before the first tournament date if it is outside of California or more than a 3 hour drive from Los Angeles. This will give the archer time to relax and mentally prepare.
